Hi All,
Just curious if the hub bolt heads on the 28 Chevy wooden wheel are cad plated or painted? Also, what is correct for the rims? I have seen them painted black as well as plated.

Thanks!

Hello
The -29 finish requirements says:
Demountable rims : Black enamel
Dem. rim bolt & nut : black oxide
dem. rim clamp : Black oxide.
My be the -28 have the same requirements?

Rusty Fender: I own 5 28's (four trucks and 1 coupe) and all my hubs are painted. The covers that screw on the hubs for the trucks are also painted but on the coupe it is polished metal.

Finally had a chance to search out my wheel book. The '28-30 Chevys had black rims, bolts, etc. The hub bolts are also black. laugh
