Restoring my truck and would like to put the original shocks on , which I have. This truck was a basket case , So I have no idea how they mount and the hardware need for them. If anyone has any pic's or some information on this , it would be a great help.

Take a look at page 31 of the 1937 Shop Manual. That shows the operation of the single acting lever arm shocks. They mount to the frame through reinforced holes. The bolts are 1/2" coarse thread. I cannot remember the length.
Expect any used shock to need to be rebuilt. The packing type seal gets hard over time and wears on the shaft. So the shaft needs to be resurfaced and new seals installed. The last time I checked Apple Hydraulics charged about $200 each to rebuild them If they sell you a complete rebuilt shock it is about $300.
Plus you will need the links, pins, and bushings to connect the lever arms to the front and rear axles. Check Chev of the 40's online catalog to see those parts.

I put on a set of lever arm shocks on my 36 GMC and it was dramatic difference in the ride quality. Apple rebuilt my shocks 10 years ago and no problems at all.
