I disassembled the front end this weekend to get everything cleaned and prepped. I removed this unknown bracket from the passenger side inner fender near the front. None of the driver’s side (could have been removed).

Any idea what the bracket is for? Thanks

My 55 first panel was so long ago I don't remember. Do you have matching holes on the driver's side?

I found my answer. They’re used to attach rods to the firewall for bracing.
