I disassembled the front end this weekend to get everything cleaned and prepped. I removed this unknown bracket from the passenger side inner fender near the front. None of the driver’s side (could have been removed). Any idea what the bracket is for? Thanks ![[Linked Image from thumbs2.imgbox.com]](https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/a7/c0/faHCxKeX_t.jpeg)

My 55 first panel was so long ago I don't remember. Do you have matching holes on the driver's side?

I found my answer. They’re used to attach rods to the firewall for bracing. ![[Linked Image from thumbs2.imgbox.com]](https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/93/29/oDlzlwxk_t.jpeg) Grumpy
