Howdy,

I installed my gauges in my 34 today and my oil gauge reads around 7.5psi at idle. Is that normal? Seems low to me, no?

Regards

IT WOULD BE NORMAL WITH COLD OIL. WITH HOT OIL AT IDLE 2 TO 3 POUNDS UNLESS THE VANE OIL PUMP HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH A GEAR TYPE PUMP. THEN WILL BE A FEW POUNDS HIGHER.

With the original vane type pump, the hot oil pressure will be around 7 to 10 pounds at road speeds.
