I am looking for a piece, and I don't know what it is called. It looks like a small brass Cup that goes into the oil connector with a spring. It helps to connect the oiler to the rocker shaft, and should be 1/2 in diameter. Any help would be appreciated. 1938 Chevrolet 216 Thank you

Take a look at page 14 of the Master Parts List 1929-1941. I think the part you are describing is in group 1.928 which is on page 34.

That one says 5/8" diameter. The opening is only 1/2" The one in the picture doesn't fit in the oil connector

Oh my gosh... my friend put the part in backwards. We too it out and turned it around. It’s all back together. Please ignore my ignorance,
