I found this spring in the box with other parts for the 28 truck I am working on. Any ideas where it goes?

I really don't know about your model but on later models I've seen one like this that fastened to the torque tube and E-brake.
.....and others a similar spring hooked to the chassis and to the clutch arm at bellhousing.....Mind you I'm just guessing!!!

That's the front brake return spring for a 1928 LP 1 ton truck. The small end hooks onto the front brake pull rod clevis, the large end simply hooks into a hole that's punched into the chassis.
