I'm thinking both the oil filler tube and cap on my 327 engine are painted black. Style as shown in the photo. Looking to confirm. Thx!

I came across some photos I'd taken 5 years ago on one of our VCCA tours. The car had an orange oil filler tube with a black cap. I do have to admit the orange tube looks funny, but don't know if it's correct...

The tube in my 327 is just bare metal and if you want I will take a picture so you can compare.

I had a brand new, 1967 Camaro, and have been working on and rebuilding sbc since 1960. Everyone that I have seen has had a semi-gloss black
oil fill tube with the same color for the breather cap. Most guys replaced them with a chrome tube and cap within the first year. Bobalouie
