My '35 Standard Coupe has been on stands for about 2 years. I would only work on it when my Son came to visit. We got it back on the floor last week with New woven brake linings, (with "by the book adjustment") new tires, new hub caps, freshly powder coated cream medium wheels, and oil change. Here's a look.
Yep, original engine. It goes to the muffler shop tomorrow for installation of a NOS genuine Chevy muffler. He will make a tailpipe. I'm hoping my exhaust pipe is OK.
Here is a "before" picture from about 1996. That's my son, Sam, headed off to his high school prom. When he visits nowadays, his teenage daughters get to hone their stick shift driving skills on Grandpa's cars and trucks.

The kids at my grandson's prom voted for their favorite prom car. A Maserati and a stretch Hummer limo lost out to a '56 Chevy Nomad. Don't you love it?
