My brother is replacing the control arm shafts on his 70 Chevelle SS LS6 and the ones he bought are TRW and not the offset version. I noticed the OEM in the car have bolts and the TRW are threaded ends with nuts. Was this a design change or improvement from OEM? I would think the threaded version stronger as no hole drilled into ends. I figured someone here would have info on them. Thanks

I would check with TRW and get their story. Sounds as if it is their new and inproved shaft and may require other parts for installation.
