OP 31DeluxeRoadster Shade Tree Mechanic Joined: Jan 2012 Posts: 82 Cincinnati, Ohio	I noticed that I have a weak leaf spring in the back on the drivers side of my Roadster. The drivers side is lower in the back than the passenger side. Not to mention the rear looks kind of low in the back overall. I think I read on Bill Barker's "1931Chevrolet.com" website that different models had different leaf spring setups. For example, Roadsters had 5 leaf leaf springs, coupes had 6 and sedans had 7. Can anyone confirm this? I would like to correct my weak rear...lol! 1931 Deluxe Sport Roadster 1931 Sport Coupe

The parts book also indicates that the Roadster for 1931 used 6 leaf rear springs as well. The 1929-31 Chevrolet parts book shows the same, so apparently both 6 and 7 leaf springs were used on the 1931 standard Roadster. The Mangy Old Mutt "If It's Not Junk.....It's Not Treasure!"

This is what I found on my car. I have 7 leaves in my leaf springs. But I still have a weak spring on the drivers side.
