I am not familiar with the 63 models but there is a possibilty the dash frame is a welded in part of the structure. In which case sand and paint it as well.

Pancho,
The main dash frame is welded to the cowl. The "bolts" you see are the support rods. The easiest way to do what you want to do is to remove the windshield and work the dash from the outside. Also remember that the paint should have a satin finish, a gloss finish will make it almost impossible to drive on a sunny day with the reflection

Pancho, The hardest part is removing the trim around the windshield without bending it. I would just cut the gasket and buy a new one for $75. As far as the paint I know I have the numbers somewhere, I will look tonight. What color?

John beat me to the comment. As for color I would check factory specs but failing that I would think they are body color or matt black.

john the color i am looking for is saddle. i dont know if i can get the exact color, but anything very close would be helpful. oh and as far as the dash. i took off the windshield. yeah the trim was tricky but i managed. i did not have to cut the gasket, cuz apparently the windshield had been replaced and came off smoothly.
