I am working on a 1926 Chevy timing. By the look of the engine intake manifold I would say the second valve on the number one cylinder from the front of the engine is an intake valve(I do not have these manifolds off). Is that right or is the first valve from the front of the engine the intake valve?

Hi DMD,
The valve sequence is E I I E E I I E. Works from either end. ;-)
If you don't already have one, I suggest getting a copy of the repair manual. There are many vendors that sell reprints.
