I am working on a 1926 Chevy timing. By the look of the engine intake manifold I would say the second valve on the number one cylinder from the front of the engine is an intake valve(I do not have these manifolds off). Is that right or is the first valve from the front of the engine the intake valve?

Hi DMD,

The valve sequence is E I I E E I I E. Works from either end. ;-)

If you don't already have one, I suggest getting a copy of the repair manual. There are many vendors that sell reprints.

Cheers, Dean

Also, in the future for better response to your questions, you should post in the 1912-1928 forum instead of here in the Chat Suggestions, Comments or Issues forum which is used for posting ideas for improvements to the Chevy Chatter site.

Good luck with your project.
