Who provides the best reproduction metal valve steam assemblies? I was looking at synyders. I am working on a 32 .Its a Canadian car and I think there are differences to the American cars
I just bought my from Snyder's. Bought the late 31 style. There is a difference from the original but finding good original can be very challenging & expensive. They are marked TR83A & from what I've read, they were used through the 1933 year. 1934 changed. They weren't just used by one car manufacture. It was just the way things were...then...Joe

I installed all 5 stems yesterday in about an hour. Of course the tubes were already out. Had to get Sheri to help me when it came to inserting a quarter size stem end into an area smaller than a pencil. Dip tanked all after done & no air bubbles...Joe

I know that cutting off the stem on a perfectly good tube causes the pucker string to tighten, but relaxes when the job is over. Those metal stems sure look better than black rubber. More authentic as well.
The tubes I used were probably the same age as the 1993 tires I took off. Brand new would've been easier to work with but I figured if it didn't work on the old tube, I would have nothing to lose except some time but it did give me experience. Worth the effort...Joe
