I own a 36 1.5 ton and I wonder if there is any information on how many still exist. I would not think they would be very rare but I have not seen very many.

I have one and see them fairly often on eBay. They are usually rough and being promoted as rat rod material.
I bought mine on eBay in about 2006. It came from west central Kansas and is good and solid.
You can see my truck in a thread farther down in this section of chat. Look for "1936 low roof semi truck" or something similar. My Son, Sam posted lots of pictures since starting the thread a few years ago. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Sorry, I can't answer your question, but I have to you a request. (A request and to other owners 1,5 1935/1936 too). Look at the picture. Perhaps there are photos of this area - interestingly as support of a shaft is attached to a frame. Or perhaps you will be able to take such photos? Many thanks. Support - ?

Mike I have seen the pictures of your truck. What a great job you have done! My 36 is a 103 wheel base so it looks a lot like yours. It was owned by my grandfather and was used as a wrecker.
When I pulled one of the rear hubs and found that the round plate that covers the inside grease seal is missing. I have checked the online sites with no. Any ideas on finding one? Thank you for your reply.
I em new to forums so I hope this the correct way to post.

103" wheelbase?? are you sure? My truck was originally 157". I shortened it to 131". These are the only two original wheelbase choices.
Currently my Cab to axle distance is about 4 to 4-1/2 feet. If your truck is 28" shorter than mine, your rear axle is only 2 to 2 1/2 feet from the cab. Is this true?
I have some grease deflectors but they have no part number tags. I don't remember what the ones on my truck looked like. If you can get me a photo or description, I will see if they match. I also have two rear ends for parts so I can fix you up, one way or another. The deflector is only for '36 1-1/2 ton.
