Just received vent glass for the coupe from FS .. it is larger and more angular than what I have .. do I have the sedan glass ???

Any help appreciated

note to self .... get required amount of sleep before spending money on the internet..

Convertible not coupe . so all vent glass is the same EXCEPT convertible.....

Depends if you have a "post" club coupe or a BelAir hardtop coupe.The BelAir hard top has the same vent window glass as a convertible and is more angular....the club cope has a more rounded glass.

It would be far less expensive to just take your original to an auto glass shop & have them use it as a pattern to cut your glass to size.

Toughened glass ... needs to be cut to size then sent away for heat treating ... very expensive to do through your local glass shop .. can not cut toughened glass down to size .. ends up in a million little pieces .. bite the bullet .. ordered the correct parts ..

Over here it's called tempered glass and a vent glass wouldn't be tempered for the very reason you mention, it breaks too easily & the shards would be dangerous to passengers. Use laminated glass. The only tempered glass in my '38 is the back glass. All other glass is laminated (safety glass) same as the windshield.
