Thank you. I have for project to restore the four shocks the next winter with a F/S kit however I must repair one for the summer rides. How can I remove the seal cage ( metal stamped ) without distortion the cage?

How to remove the metal cap over the seal is described in the instructions supplied in the kit from the Filling Station. Basically, you gently heat the metal cap with an acetylene torch and let it cool. Do this as many times as required until you can gently tap the edge of the metal cap with a drift pin to remove it.
