On my 1932 engine I removed the clutch pilot bearing fron the rear end crank shaft. It's a new departure bearing # 7502 with one shield installed toward the disk clutch like it's stated in the repair manual. The new bearing 6202 ZZ have a shield on both side. Do I need to remove one shield?

1929 and 1930 both used the same part number bushing and 1931-1938 used the bearing. Since he has a 1932 his car has a bearing such as he removed and it is not necessary to remove the shield on a dual shielded/sealed bearing. Hopefully he will not be confused by the additional information.
