There was a 52 at Flint. It was the only 52 there. Sorry I did not bring my two door sedan.

Yep, and they're still making them today.... There was speculation a while ago that one of these would be sent to the USA to replace the El Camino.

I like it. Would be nice if they brought them over here.

Image didn't work but you can see the current one on the Holden site.

Thanks,
Jim

Apparently you can. Seems like there is a company in Denver Colorado called Lefthandutes.com that imports them and converts them to left hand drive. New Holdens that is.

Is the yellow UTE, pictured above, equipped correctly, with that specific rear end panel below the tailgate and no rear bumper?

The yellow Ute is as it came from the factory, the recessed section is hinged at the bottom and opens to access the spare tyre. They never had rear bumpers fitted from the factory though you do see a lot of restored ones fitted with rear bumpers.

One more question, is "UTE" an abbreviation for something else ?

Hint: The yellow one was on the back cover of the G&D in November 1989.

Oh.... check 'em out as much as you can, because I've already got the next header built. I'll install it some time before the Seahawks game on Sunday. And that other team.

No, it's the initial "P.S.I. Bowl"

I understand that hot air makes the P.S.I. rise. Maybe the "Deflaters" are not full of hot air, but instead just play good cool football. This thread is getting off subject.

The UTE tailgate can be dropped to a vertical position allowing better access to the bed. There are a couple of rubber bumpers that keep it from hitting the body. Installing a bumper would not allow the use of this feature.

I have a ute almost identical to the yellow (Sequoia Cream)one. If anyone know who owns it I would appreciate knowing who it is. I suspect it is an Aussie picture. Here is a link to a couple of pictures of mine
