Hi trying to set the initial timing on rebuilt 350 with HEI 300hp. I set at TDC but im unable to turn counter clockwise to 12 degrees before TDC. Can I turn motor clock wise and stop at 12 degrees before TDC. Thanks

Agree with Gene.Dist is one tooth off. If it was 180 off it wouldn't start or run.

Get it back at TDC #1 on Compression stroke.Drop it back in with rotor pointing to #1 postion on cap.

Good luck. Jim

i also agree! it is just a one tooth off. and is will not run if it's 180. try to get it back again. you will eventually succeed on that good luck!
