great looking car... I have to get bumpers for mine they set it off... is the headlight bar standard?? I dont have it on mine.??

The bumpers do finish the car off. I assume the headlight bar is standard equipment. I don't know. Tom

That looks like a 1926 late V stamped steel headlight bar.
The bumper may be one of three offered during the 1927 model year.

I have a 1927 Chevy Capital AA 4 Door also a 1927 Chevy Touring car, a 1936 Chevy 1/2 ton and a 2010 Corvette LT3 Convertible and a 1953 Packard Caribbean. My tow car is a 2011 Suburban.

While researching the Chevrolet bumpers offered for the 1925-26 models, I found the following photos from a 1927 showroom and the May and October 1927 service bulletins.

If you find the bumper check the front top left side for the Underwriters Laboratory sticker. Per an expert VCCA member at a car show I was in told me that because they were options and some parts places offered after market bumpers. These bumpers were not made of spring steel, so Chevrolet had Underwriters inspect and place a decal on ones that were made correctly. I have that decal on my front bumper.

not a hope in hell of finding one here in australia.... I will be looking at making one I think.. cant be that hard to do ....
