I'm trying to get the Ole '37 running right. After I go on a trip for about 30 minutes and stop my trucks seems to be flooding out on me and won't start back. My first thought is the needle is sticking in my carb causing it to flood on me. Does anyone have any other ideas as to what could be causing this? If it is the carb needing to be cleaned is there a good way to clean it without pulling the carb off the engine?
Any input will be appreciated.

The float might be adjusted incorrectly. A slight bit of dirt in the needle valve can also cause flooding. It would be wise to re-check the carb.

I'm relatively new at this and this may seem like a silly question but, how can I determine what is the correct float level?

That information comes in the carb. repair kit that is available from the Filling Station. However, their kits also contain the Viton tipped needle. By any chance, do you know which carburetor that you have on your car? www.fillingstation.com
