1. Does anyone have a mounting template for this heater that I can borrow to copy? 2. Does anyone have the temperature gauge fitting for the engine block for sale or know of a modern day replacement? 3. Does anyone know the value of the resistor on the heater switch? 4. The installation instructions state the heater switch should be placed in a convenient position on the dash panel. Where was was it usually placed? Thanks.

Steve, I saw one on ebay also but was not sure it was the right one. It went for about $45. I will keep an eye out anyway. Thanks.

You might also want to post an ad in the parts wanted forum.

I have some of the mounting information that you want... I'll try to dig it up and post here later.

I have a cowl assy. and checked for the heater holes which it has , but they are not correct for the 31 heater. I did however while checking find a temp sender fitting that is not the greatest, but may be functional. It will need to be cleaned up so I can check it to be sure it's worth shipping. Should be able to do that tomorrow and will let you know if it is still usable.

The 1931-2 heater installation information including a 1/2 scale template was published in the February 2005 pages 30-32.

Okay, I've used this as my trigger for a new section in the MEMBERS area ( http://vcca.org/members/) Under RESOURCE CENTER there is now a new folder called "Installation Instructions".... and under that is a bunch of files for 1931, 32, 36 and 37 Hot Water Heater instructions AND diagrams. Good luck. --Bill PS. More coming soon... probably later tonight.
