Jack ,

I have ordered 600w ( Transoil 250 Penrite ) from Autopro and will change both Transmission and Differential .

My Universal Housing has a gease nipple fitted on top , i beleive this is not correct ,it should be a blank plug. Somebody said putting grease in the housing does not really lubricate the joint .

Is this correct ?

Thanks for your help once again.

There should be a plug on the universal joint housing and yes, it is correct that grease should not be used in the housing.

With my 38 the lower diff cover bolt should have drained oil but there was that much crud there I ended up removing the whole cover, some of the crud was rusted roller cages out of the bearings.

Tony ,

Thanks , I don't think i have bearing problems, i just need to change the Diff oil so i know where i'm at with the Roadster.

Then i can cruise without problems, thanks again.
