I got this tank when I bought the 35 standard...I just"assummed" it was correct..but as you can see...its just wrong???!!!.see where the fuel sender and vent are stuck up under the panel.....has anyone got a pick of their tank??...Ive a 35 standard,holden body,I have no body from cowl back{sorta}so I dont know where the filler pipe comes out..i've had a look at what i can get on variuos sites....none come out at the rear hole bit..it looks wrong anyway..and they dont look rite either...any ideas out there....I just wanna cheap tank .......dave......... The gasoline spout comes out on the left side thru the 3-4" hole. Send me an email and i will send you a picture of a 1934 1935 tank for the standard series DC EC......it has less gallonage than the master series. My 34-35 tank is sitting out of my roadster and pictures are easy to take. mike350 at rogers dot com A company in the USA called * TANKS** reproduces the standard tank in steel and stainless steel. I have seen them on ebay. The tank u have pictured is totally wrong for your car, thats where the spare tire carrier mounts. mike lynch madmike3434 on ebay

mike_lynch ChatMaster - 3,000 Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 3,292 whitby ontario Canada	On sedans starting in late 1934 for the standard series the seperate gas tank cover panel became part of the rear body panel.........only the coupes, roadsters and touring cars still had the removable gas tank cover panel. This allowed you to easily access the gas tank fuel level sending unit. On sedans you had to drop the tank to access it. I am not sure about Australian HOLDEN built bodies . Now as too all those metal pieces you are showing, i have ABSOLUTELY ZERO idea what those parts could possible be for in a 1934 1935 chevrolet mike

I also sent you pictures of what the correct gas tank looks like along with measurements for the standard series. Question , are you trying to rebuild a COUPE TYPE ute like on ebay AU link, or a roadster pickup like the other picture ? Pretty sure somebody posted a picture in a thread on this site 2-4 months ago , about a roadster pickup sitting there. That looked like picture you posted. That hood looks wrong for a 1934-35 standard series based vehicle. But its down under and hard to say. mike lynch

I dont know about the rear panels as yet I do know that if I spend a few $$$ and get petrol tank + lines sorted...I can start it..[moter]...I think the way the filler pipe comes out that is ok...just by looking at the pics I found... I just dont like the vent under the panel[fumes???]...heres another pic..where abouts unknown... At least with a good picture like that it gives you an idea of what its supposed to look like finished. The roadster pickup design is much nicer looking than the coupe ute. Your progressing nicely on your ride, takes time and cubic $$$$$. At least your local to those cars and can meet up with others to see what is needed and maybe buy some parts. That was a great link to the UTE thread, got thru page one of 7, so far . mike lynch

The spare tyre on these model utes was not on the rear and was a sidemount, the filler was under the floor and if you look at the utility on ebay you will see a photo of the filler under the wooden floor (bed)centrally located at the back, most likely you have the remains of a roadster utility. I did a post showing the trucks many months ago, because he wanted to sell some of them..... never give 100% unless you are giving blood.

I also think the mounting clips should be no further than 400mm apart but check what what spacing your daily driver has. It may prevent fatigued and broken fuel line, if you using hydraulic brakes mount the piping at the same points. Tony 1938 1/2 ton Hope to drive it before I retire
