I have a 6 volt electronic on my '28 Coupe. It was the first made for a Chevrolet by First Street Ignitions http://www.fsignitions.com/ . So far it has been trouble free but I take a spare point ignition distributor to switch out in case there is a problem on the road. I can't fix the electronic one if it fails but I can get the point ignition fixed well enough to get home.

Go on ebay, find distributors,in auto parts look for heidizzy.
He makes custom HEI Distributors. He only sells on ebay.
I had one made a year ago, and it has been perfect.
I paid about $250.00 and it is so easy to install.
The unit is a one wire hook up

The part #370218565566 is the same one I installed a year ago. It is custom made to fit the 32 chev.
Best thing that I ever did for my baby. I can set the timing at 20 degrees and it runs great and has more power.

Mychevy, yes they come with the drive gear and ready to run.

I emailed the seller / manufacturer and he says he assembles them for the vehicle that they will be used in when you order. 12 volt or six volt, male oil pump drive tang or female drive tang.

The cap is much larger than the original, but it all fits. The coil is built in and you only have one wire to hook up. You will need to know if the end of your shaft is male or female. My 32 has the recessed female end. You will also need to replace your sparkplug wires, the old ones will not take the higher voltage. Napa stocks the hige voltage wires that fit your car.
