With a 6 volt flasher and the proper bulb load which would be two 21 candle power draw bulbs. For later cars it would be 1154 bulbs which are double filament.

You can buy flashers made for LEDs at most vendors.

Did you ever work anythig out on this?

I'm looking to add turn signals to our 1931 and 1932 that are both 6volt. I got a turn signal kit for 6v off eBay but I'm wanting to go with an LED based solution. The 1931 has quarter lights and was thinking of useing those for the front signals. On the 32 we don't have those so I'll have to come up with something.

I want to convert the cowl lights on my 32 to turn signals. I will need a double filament bulb with straight pins to replace the current bulb so I can continue to use them as cowl light as well. Dose anyone know the correct 6V bulb # to do this?

The # 210 dose not look like it is a double filament Bulb. I want to retain the use of the cowl lights and use the 2nd filament and the turn signals there for it will need to be a double contact and double filament bulb.

The only thing you could not do is have your cowl lights on and use your trun signal at the same time. How often do you drive with your cowl lights on and want to use turn signals?

I do not believe in fifty years I have driven with my cowl lights on The only time I ever turn the cowl lights on is for the Field Entrance Check for judging.

Thats true, I seldom use the cowl lights. I just thought if i could find the correct double filament bulb I could retain them.

I may have missed something but if you have the cowl light on how would you see the turn signal light when you used them. I know they would be different candle powers. I'm not sure how your turn signal works.

The cowl lights would only be used for parking

In addition to the double filament bulb you will need to change the socket so it has two separate wires going to it. One for each filament.

I like the 1158 in that the socket can be retained and the pigtail would be the only item to replace. Then you must test which of the two ways of installation is the correct one.
