There should be a sleeve on the distributor end of the electrolock. the sleeve is slid off to enable the condensor lead to be fitted in the slot. There is then a spring washer. The threaded stud end goes through a hole in the side of the distributor, through an insulator bush. The inside of the distributor should have a thin sheet insulator between the distributor body and the points spring. The stud passes through both of these, and then has a a small curved plate and a nut on the end.

There many discussions on CC II regarding how to connect the electrolock to the distributor so you might want to do a search on CC II to review all of that information.

Mike,
I e-mailed you several photos that show how the electrolock mounts to the distributor.

The 1929-32 Chevrolet parts book has a great illustration of all of the individual electrolock parts for attaching the electrolock to the distributor.
