OK...educate me. Whos Wayne and why does anything that has that name on it cost 10 times the normal price? I see intakes and exhaust manifolds that go for a fortune . What up with that?

They are "nostalgic" dress up and hop up equipment, Some like to re-live the fun days they had in their youth, with alloy rocker covers and side plates, triple carbs, and what ever other speed equipment they had at high school , or at the drag races, Think , American Graffiti , and happy days, when restoration and preservation of rare and beautiful examples of America's finest automobiles was never considered.
In them days, they would take a 1930,s chevy coupe, and weld the doors shut, and gut out everything to save weight, and then race around dirt tracks, without a straight panel left, and then when they tired of that, they would push it out into the paddock to rust away , or get crushed to make a few import cars or washing machines.

WOW, that guy want's $2,200 for that pile of rusted metal. You would have pay me to haul that one to the crusher.
I suppose someone will find something of value in that car, but it will require a good imagination.

Let's not confuse rat rods with Wayne speed equipment here, gentlemen. A Wayne 12 port head will assure that your 235 stovebolt will destroy a flathead v-8 any day of the week and twice on Sundays. Although this speed equipment may not adhere to the VCCA's judging standards of original equipment, it is nonetheless valuable stuff in it's own right and has it's own following. A trip over to Inliners.org can get you up to speed if you are so inclined. But please, just because it's not to your taste, don't throw it in with that rust pile on the trailer and call it all the same.

junkman41, You should recycle that aluminum, it might be good to use in a nice brand new factory alloy small block , or one of those factory limited edition Z-11 Alloy 427's.
