Experience With New Reproduction Radios Haase 03/25/24 03:08 PM
Does anyone have any first-hand experience with new reproduction radios that are stock-appearing?

I would like to purchase one, but I am concerned about build quality and functionality, especially for the price. Some folks on forums have mentioned issues with volume control.

https://vintageautoradio.com/products/1951-52-chevrolet-am-fm-bluetooth%C2%AE-radio

My goal is to have a factory-appearing radio that supports Bluetooth and has RCA outputs. I will not be using the internal amplifier or AM/FM tuner.

Any experiences or advice is welcome. Thank you!

1947 1948 Pair of Guide Parking Light Lens the toolman 03/22/24 07:21 PM
A pair of Original 1947 - 1948 Guide Chevrolet Passenger Car Parking Light Clear Lens. The driver's side glass lens is # 5936809 L.H. This lens is in excellent shape. One small chip where is touches the gasket, which will not show when installed. The passenger side Guide glass lens is part # 5936810 R.H. This lens is definitely used with NO cracks, however it does have one tiny stone chip that can hardly be seen. $12/pair + shipping.

Email me for a list of over 500+ 1936-1954 Chevy parts for sale. Most of the parts fit 1939-1948. Most of the parts are NOS GM. vcca66chevelle@gmail.com

Engine Stamping Factory Code 74Cheyennesuper 03/21/24 05:10 PM
Hopefully this fits in this forum- I am curious if anyone knows about the engine plant designations that are stamped on the machined pad along with the assembly date and suffix code. I was referencing The Lime Book, which only has V-8 information, and it shows that the plant designation for the Flint engine factory changed from 'F' to 'V'. 'F' was used from 1955 to 1966 and 'V' began being used on 1967 and up. Did this only apply to V-8's or were the six cylinders also changed? I've also seen it referred to F- Flint (Motor) and V-Flint (Engine). Was the 'V' an addition or new assembly line just for V-8's and the sixes kept the 'F'? Curious what anyone knows or has documented about this.
Thanks!
