Hi,

I just bought a 1951 Chevy 216, Deluxe Styleline. I don't know what oil is in it. There is an oil filter.

What oil do you recommend and why??

A warning in advance. You will find 95% of the people here use 10W-30.

Why; The viacosity covers the three viscosities specified in the owners manual. Also the additive package far exceeds 1951 requirements.

5W-30 is also a good choice.
