could someone tell me the correct position to mount an original guide square set of foglights. Should the open bottom part be facing the front of the car? Should they be mounted on the innner bumper fork?

I was told on this site and have seen "original" fog lights mounted on the outer arm of bumper bracket's. So that's where I mounted mine and they look good.

Best of luck,

Correct, On on the outer arm of the "Y" brace, so I am told.

I had mine in-between the braces at the "Y" and I will admit they do "look better" spread out a bit. But that may be more of a personal opinion than "Chevy specs"

In reviewing a lot of photos, cars and mag's I have not seen any definitive evidence that show them one place or the other. But a lot of guys on this site told me where to-install them.

I just finished taking my fog lights off, disassembling them and cleaning/polishing, washing etc. them. Then I rewired them put them back on, and they look nice.

So it's kind of a personal thing...I'd say just install them, stand back about 50 ft. and see if you like the "look" of your placement, then smile !

Be well,
Mike41
