I am looking for advice on how and where to mount the dome light block in my '34 Master 5-window. The Fisher body manual only shows the sedan roof structure. I assume it goes between the two rearmost bows. I have one from my parts car, a Sport Sedan. It has rabbets which suggest it would mount below the bows. Wouldn't that interfere with the headliner? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks, Landman

I don't have personal experience with a '34 but do with '31 & '32 models. On those the dome light is mounted in a hole in a wood block that fits between roof bows. I would suspect the '34 is the same. In the Coupe it would need to illuminate the seat and floor by being located above the seat. The Sedan and Coach have the light located to illuminate both the front and rear passenger areas.

i do not have a 34 coupe but a 35 which is some what differant .the light is located above the rear of the seat which is where you said . on yours the top bows are wood and the head liner hangs down about one inch to one and one half inches below the bows so that it can adjust and not wrinkle
