The knob for my wiper switch has come off and the shaft has fallen down inside the dash has anyone had one of these control switches out before? i want to start taking it apart to find out if replacement is needed or if i can repair what is there.

well you have to go under the dash and remove the bolt from under the switch, this will allow you to pull through the rod that contacts the wiper motor i have never seen one fall apart , i have a NOS wiper switch for sale if you need it
