You may trade here, on eBay. Many pieces/repro from 1920-30ties, also covering the later years: http://stores.ebay.com/LeLuxe-Clothinghttp://stores.ebay.com/Unique-Vintage-ClothingPlease, check sizes, right period, repro or original etc. and ask for more pictures if you are in doubt of bidding. Do not bid if the item is too tight already in the description.

Kari (my wife) has just finished changing a suit bought on eBay into a smart uniform for me as taxi chauffeur from 1920ties. I also bought a lovely (correct) pair of longlegged boots for the costume recently. They were, however, pretty stiff, so I poured a lot of neatsfoot oil inside and "painted" the outside as well. I put a pair of shoe form stretcher mold, also bought on eBay, in them after oiling. By now they are restored to a useful condition for driving my 490 in a old fashion style. I will put some pictures of several outfits a bit later. Hope you readers also can come up with some pictures of the costumes you use when driving your beauties! PS. If you need some neatsfoot oil for leather work (clothing, foot wear, cone clutches, harness etc,) check at the shops selling equipment for horses.

Another web site with several choices: www.BlackMarketAntiques.comBlack Market Antiques is an independent online retailer of antiques and vintage and retro collectibles of all sorts. We're located in rural Pennsylvania, an area rich in antiques and where our Grandparents still have Mid-Century Modern decor.

I hope some of you have found some useful information as to the correct costumes for your cars. It would be nice if the pages here could bring more VCCA-people to join the show (and competition) in Flint/Detroit in 2011. Imagine if we were able to show costumes from each decade. It would really be something for the press and non-members too. Get your clothing to match the car and join the show in 2011!

Is there any ample supply of vintage 30's 40's clothing for men? Im not exactly finding what i want.
In my shop, quality is a standard, NOT and option.

Quite a number of suppliers have specified what they stock from different yearperiods, style and sizes. You should be able to search for some having what you want, but you will have to search for several, I think, to get a good choice. You may also try a text on Google like this: good choice of men's clothing from 30 - 40tiesand scroll down the upcoming pages.
