How do you remove the dome light lense to replace the bulb in a '29 coach? Mine has some rust around the holder and I do not want to force anything.

Capt Harley You need to turn the bezel that holds the lens counter clockwise. Sometimes it`s hard to do and I found using a pair of latex gloves gives you the gripping power to turn it. give it a try.

Ya, those puppies are really hard to remove sometimes, but the bezel is made to twist off. Keep trying and you will get it. Be careful not to break the lens however. :)

This is a follow up on my dome light. Well, it finally came undone. I tried twisting it counter clock wise but to no avail. So I was sitting in the back seat of my coach and just thumped the dome light with my fingers. And "poof" the lense and retainer fall off into my hands. The only thing keeping it together was rust. Now I guess I'll have to find another complete assembly. The lense retainers tabs are all rusted off. I looked up dome light in the FS catalog and it suspiciusly looks just like the ones in the A-Model (you-know-what) catalogs. Don't know if I can go that way. I guess I'll see what eBay has to offer.
Thanks for the advice, guys. It was appreciated.

There are some Dome lights on eBay from time to time, around $ 20,- - 30,-. Beware they some times miss the bulb holder or the inside electric connection. The missing part will not show on a picture, so you often have to ask about those missing parts. If you should need the switch, I think you can get that from Filling Station, Gary Wakkace and I & I Reproduction. Good hunt!
