I have two different lenghts of emergency brake arms one is 18 inches and the other is 20 inches. What is the correct lenght of the emergency brake arm for 1931 is there a differedce between the open car and the closed car in 1931. I am working on my 1931 sport roadster, and a two door sedan at the same time. Thanks, Larry :)

The length for the emergency brake lever assembly for 1931 is approx. 20 1/2". Both the open and closed cars used the same emergency brake lever. The 1929 models used a shorter emergency brake lever. laugh laugh laugh

Thanks skip, now I have to wonder just were the two 18 inch arms came from as I have owned only one 1929, and it was a complete car and never had it apart. Could they be left overs from the 1929 models and been used on early 1930 models out of the Oakland assemble plant? My Club sedan and a Special sedan were out of Oakland, and they both had 1929 registrations on them.
