I have been inquired from Denmark about this car, probably Danish
assembled. Click on the picture for a bigger size.

We have been chatting in Norway too, about this car. It is clear it is a 32 model, and the body very likely to be built in Copenhagen. The side windows are adjustable, so the body could be called a cabriolet?? May be Danish type, if nothing else could be used for describing the body better??

Here is another car but made in USA:

Anyone having more to say about the Danish one?

Over the years I have seen pictures of two other similar convertible Chevrolets. One had a body by Glazer (sp). If I remember correctly it was pictured with a description in the G&D over 10 years ago. Still not found the photo. Think that the body was produced in Germany. Another had a similar body by a French company. Don't remember where I saw it, Cars & Parts, Old Cars Weekly or ?? I would think that one or two European body companies would make special bodies for Chevrolets.

Chippy Dippy is correct. I have seen the same two photos as well. One was in the G&D for sure and I think that the other was featured in "Cars & Parts" years ago.

:) wink

It looks very much like a Glaser body. The chassis would have been assembled by General Motors International, Kobenhaven, but the body could have been by them or as happened with GM Continental in later years, they sent the chassis to Glaser and then had it sent back. General Motors Limited also did the same in London with Carrosserie Van den Plas Belges SA bodywork on Buick and Cadillac chassis at the time. They literally shipped the chassis to Belgium, had them bodied then sent them back. By 1931 the last of the Vauxhall-built (Luton) Chevrolets were being built and British coachbuilders bodied chassis as well as those built in Luton.

I appreciate the comments, and will forward them to the Danish club for an update there, accompanying the picture. laugh cool

I am pretty sure the body has not been built in Norway. Gläser made some nice special bodies in the later 30-ties with Opel too.
