When I got the car it was in bad shape, ok still is but its getting there. The guy I bought it from was real worked up about the fenders. He called them empire fenders and said they were super rare and expensive. I can see the difference, I havent seen any pics of others. Does anyone know about these?

Not at all familiar with Empire fenders. All car fenders for the 1927 are the same. Can you provide a picture of what you are in reference to?

Too much info to even try and get it on here so I sent you a email with the attached photos. They look like a regular fenders but with a extra lip on the underside, and its only the front fenders, not the back. I dunno....what do you think.

Hi 58Buick, Received the pictures and they are normal 1925 fenders. They don't fit well with the 1928 shell.

So what I have is a 27 chevy with 25 fenders, and a 28 body?
on the cowl The serial # is k10276
THis has started to get confusing, I just looked through dozens of pics of each style and year, still bupcuss. That lip looks way drifferent, and I am leaning towards a homemade, or not factory built/modification for crappy roads. Like mud. When I first saw it in the daylight thats what I thought, almst like 2 sets of fenders on top of eachother. Thanks for your help.
BUT if you have some yoda insight into the serial #, that'd be much apprecaited. Thanks, Mark

Canadian!!!! You've got an Oshawa-built car, hence the "K" prefix. It is possible that the fenders are replacements probably by one of the myriad of auto parts companies in Walkerville/Windsor.
However, I cannot reconcile it being a 1927...what does the Fisher Body cowl tag say? It should quote the Job Number. The number fits in with known 1928 Model AB cars. The serial number is on a different plate saying GENERAL MOTORS OF CANADA Ltd., and has the Engine Number stamped on as well..what you quote is the Body Number.

Sorry doesn't work with vehicles older than post-war. Yours truly has given them information over the years, as they threw pre-war information out. Rumours abound why.

There are two guys there that have been there yonks..George Zapora is a name I remember well. Basically, if you want to know about Canadian Chevrolets prior to 1945, ask me! Where they excel is say vehicles from around 1960 onwards where they can give you full details of the build sheet when new, and who was the supplying dealer.

Thank you, I'll give it another try, if it doesn't help it wont hurt either. I know David is good for all technical info on my model and then some, but I was hoping for additional info on this truck to have a better idea how it must have been back then.
