Remember this weekend Daylight Saving Time starts, it is starting early this year because the government thinks it will save some energy.

I think I turn the clock to standard time in 3 weeks, none too soon either. It means that its nearly time to clean the shotgun and check the spotlight for my winter sport.

So the 'word' is (since my computer is pre 2005) I must re-set my time by hand Sunday, ok- no problem; now in 3 weeks when the old DST date happens will I then have to reset it back? I assume my computer will spring ahead on the old date, right?

Must be a slow news week, some 'news people' are trying to make the early DST into a Y2K type fear event.

Some of us don't put the BBQ away. All we do is put on a light jacket if it gets nippy. We do put the lawn equipment to rest for a couple of months already had to spot mow the lawn. Can't do the entire lawn until the Texas Blue Bonnets are seeded out. We really enjoy watching all the snow on TV. Just harvested another bunch of bananas a couple of days ago and the neighbor still has a few oranges on the top of the tree. Wants me to get out the ladder and pole harvestor before too long. Also have Yankee (Northerners not the baseball fans) guests for another month or so more.

Rabbits foxes and if the 6ft grasshoppers are in the wrong place them as well.

You wont need the icebox when you get to the gazebo and I guess there will be no problem with the gatecrashing flies either.
