Hi All,
Can someone tell me the correct location for the VIN plate on my 1928 coupe? (Floor, seat frame, door pillar, ??) Mine fell off long ago and I would like to replace it but I don't know for sure where it goes or what number it should have (or where to purchase one for that matter). Is there a way to fabricate a reasonable number based on other clues such as body#, job#, engine# or casting dates? My car is registered by engine# so I don't have a clue what its original VIN number was.

Thanks,
Ron
