Loc: WI hi all , i am hoping to make this into a daily short trip driver . i need assistance on wheel & tire selection . would a 215/70r 16 cause rubbing problems ( on turns ) , or any other issues ? the reason for radials is better ride & control going down the byeways . thanks

You would need to look over your present set up.With the wheels cut full either was does anything come close to the inner side of the tire?...I would guess the the drag link would be close..would need about an inch and one half extra clearence for the larger tires. They do make a radial to replace the 6.00 X 16...and it more in keeping in size with the original tires. The optional 15" wheels from a 1948 and 2.05-75 tires would also be a good choice I would guess.
