Has anyone got the part numbers for replacement 1929 front wheel bearings handy? inner and outer, ball or tapered rollers?
I know I saw them on here somewhere, but with the current search capabilities, I can't seem to find them.

Did you want the part # from the Chevrolet Six Cylinder Master Parts List, or the part # from The Filling Station on line catalog.

You can order the wheel bearings direct from the Filling Station and the part numbers are FS-178 for the front inner, and FS-177 for the front outer. Go here to order: www.fillingstation.comIf you have their current catalog you can always check it first when you need parts since they have a lot of stuff. :)

Thanks JYD and Doug. Yes, I've ordered a lot from Filling Station. Just looking for the manufacturers and their part numbers so I can shop around. I know I've seen them posted.
Hey, I didn't put that horse in there. The Dog has given me much much help in the last couple years.

Boy Howdy E.J., I am glad JYD thinks it may be cool, otherwise we might be in deep you-know-what. Any way he has good taste (Elvira, Colorado koolaid, and old Chevrolets). He seems to be a understanding kind of a dawg. maybe even a cool dawg.......

The complete inner bearing was Chevrolet #909002-it fit 1929-40 cars except 33-36 Standards and 1929-40 small trucks (also fit 4 cyl models)
The outter bearing was 909001 and fit most cars from 1929-1960 and 1/2 ton trucks. In the late '50's the outter bearing number was made more "heavy duty" and the number changed to 909067 which is the number you will usually find laying around today. It has larger balls and more of them You will find these numbers on some off brand bearing boxes also.

Sorry Big D, didn't see your post yesterday. Sometimes on this new board, only one line shows up from a post. Other times I get a scroll bar. Thanks ChevGene. I was looking for other manufacturers so I could search the internet.

eldredjames I looked these up when needing spares for my 25 and they are out of the "Master Parts Price List" Effective February 1, 1928.
Front Wheel Bearing Outer Cone = 909501 Front Wheel Bearing Inner Cone = 909502 Front Wheel Bearing Outer Cup = 909601 Front Wheel Bearing Inner Cup = 909602 Front Wheel Bearing Outer Separator with Balls = 909701 Front Wheel Bearing Inner Separator with Balls = 909702
All these listed as N. D. (I suppose means New Departure)
Also models covered = Sup. U, C, & N
hope this helps, Hans
