I leave for Buffalo this coming weekend. The competition is on Sat. July 17th.
It was a hard choice but the 41st meet lost out to another meet the end of July in Atlanta. I am gone 19 days in July and could not take more time off from my business.
The last VCCA meet I went to was May 8th in Mooresville, NC.

If I am fortunate enough to win the Grand national, I'll call everyone wheather they want to hear from me or not most likely after 10:00 PM that night.

Good luck in Buffalo, and have a great time.
I was originally planning on going myself,
but a conflict with my family's vacation
forced me to pass this year.
I will definitely be at the Grand National
in Delaware in 2006, too close not to go!

Don't worry, old Paul will win his Grand National. Anybody that can spend 21 years restoring one car will eventually get it right! (remember, he has been working on this car for SO LONG, that the NEW Chevys they were selling when he started, are now eligible to be entered in a VCCA car show!!!)
He's not kidding about the slightly psychotic phone calls after the Awards Banquet. We are considering taking a straight-jacket to put on him as soon as they clear away the food dishes, and then letting him out the next morning, when his pulse normalizes again.....

Gosh!
Thanks guys for the words!! I know this is not a "legal" thread but thanks anyway. I feel like the car is so much a part of so many people who have helped it would be a letdown for them as much as me if it does not do well.
The thing that is even better than now having a great a car is all the wonderful friends I made along the way. I even have friends I have never met, only talked many times via the phone or e mail. Thanks everyone!
Now I am sure this thread will be cut. But that's OK. I enjoyed your comments.
