I recently bought a 1940 chevy business coupe to restore.
To me, it looks very close to a 1941 except for the interior, grille and parking lights. Will the rear fenders from a 41 fit a 40?
what other parts will interchange? It seems easy to find 41's, and hard to find 40 parts.

No body, sheet metal or trim parts will interchange between 1940 and 1941.The 1940 was a one year style.

I have both 40 and 41, They don't match up wishful thinking.

1939-1948 front suspension parts basically interchange. Some other parts interchange, but may not be original for a 1940. Parts like the radiator, wheel rims, beauty trim rings, door dovetail bumpers, etc. However, as stated before in this thread, 1940 is a "One Only". I know because I too have one. My website is:
