I'm not sure if I'm doing this right, 1st time on this sight
Can you tell me if I have a standard or a master module roadster?
My wheel base is 110" and 17" wheels, I have the freewheel unit on the back of the transmission but no engage knob on the dash.
On the engine are the following numbers; 83815 E 2 3
and the vin number which matches pink 3622220

It would be a Master.There were no open cars in the 1933 Standard line.110" wheel base would be a Master. Freewheeling not available on a Standard. There were two open cars (coupes) in the 1933 Master series.The roadster had a fold down windshield and did not have roll-up windows.The Cabroilet had a "fixed" windshield and roll down windows.

The best way to use it is to lock it out and not use it.When frewheeling is "used" the car will coast when the foot is taken off the gas pedal.This will place more load on the already overworked brakes and could be dangerous....especially in down hill traffic,as there is no engine braking effect.If I remember correctly it is locked out when the controll button on the dash is pulled out.

i wonder how the car got 17" wheels as a 33 master had 18" may have put 34 wheels on

I wondered about that too. The car is excellent condition original engine etc but I noticed the were wrong too.

The 1933-36 Standards had 5 lug wheels.Everything else from 1929-54 had 6 lug.They could be 1934-36 Master wire wheels and then would use the large 8 3/4" hub caps.

Definitely have 6 lug nuts and 8 3/4" hubcaps so I guess if I want to be original I'll have to start looking for some 18" wheels.

Seems that there are plenty of 18" Chevy wheels. I have several extra and see them often listed on eBay.

I have five of them. On a scale 1-10 the four on the car are a 9,some nicks but no dents and the crome is good. the one on the spare is problably about a six or a 7, has a dent and some rust.
Ideally what I'd like to do is find someone with 18" wheels tires and hubcaps that would like to swap.

I have made a few changes to it since this was first posted. Ive got the correct wheels on it and have swapped out the engine to a 235 chevy 6 engine . it solved a lot of problems such as the babbit bearings. Everytjing else is still original.
Let me know what photos shots you need and I'll be happy to send them.

All bearing have babbit-including 2009 models

I stand corrected. Your statement is true, however I was referring to the old poured bearings made purely of babbitt (tin and lead). The newer ones are usually copper with a babbitt coating.
