Well.......our good buddy Boyd Coddington is back again this year with a brand new season. And, to start of the new season in fine fashion "Boyd Baby" took an absolutely beautiful and original 1940 Ford Woody Wagon (they don't get much rarer than that!) and he had his boys in the shop chop, channel, section, cut, french, lower, and basically butcher the car so that it will look like another "Boyd Designed" street rod. On this beauty they even went so far as to cut out the floor and firewall and throw them away. The totally gutted body was also removed from the original frame and drive train and it was attached to a modern street rod frame. The rest of the "butcher job" will be continued on next week's show.

They don't care about the car, it's all about the money. I wonder how he would feel if we cut off his beard.

It's all about the ratings if nobody watched then there wouldn't be a show.Thats not to say he would stop butchering cars.It only means we wouldn't have to witness it.Foose and Coddington 2 guys that should not be around cars.

I haven't seen anything about the 40 Woody.....
I did see one last night on the El Camino. Apparently the owner wanted to be able to haul an eight foot long motorcycle in the six foot bed. Big problem. I think they finally decided it wouldn't fit.
Overall, the "design" of the Elky looked super!!!
As far as I can tell, the show doesn't seem to run on the same night each week here in PDX. Maybe not even on the same channel. I think it was on 38 - TLC - last night.....

Reruns on the '40 Woody have been running regularly since the original show aired a few weeks ago. Here in Southern Oregon, "Boyd Baby" is on every Thursday night at 9:00 PM on TLC. Yep, they finally decided that the Harley wouldn't fit in the Elky after they cut the back of the cab out and made a metal "slipper" in the cab for the front of the bike to slip into. After they discovered that the bike wouldn't fit, "Boyd Baby" told the crew to put the car back stock, so they ripped everything back out! What will the boys mess up next week in part II of this "exciting" episode? :(

I guess it was around nine. For sure that's the episode.... about the El Camino. I'll try to remember to look for it next Thursday on TLC at nine. As for the re-runs on the 40 Woody.... I guess I've missed 'em. :( :(

Trust me! you haven't missed anything of value. That is unless the contents of you stomach are bothering you. They will be if you watch.

Saw the show, too. I've always thought the '40 was one of the most beautiful years for that make, so I suppose I watched it with the hope that they really weren't going to do what I thought they were going to do. But they did it. Also watched ABC Nightline on Friday(?) about a group of teenagers in Georgia who raised money to take a 17-year-old friend with MD to California to "Pimp His Ride"--in this case a wheelchair. When they got there, the show wouldn't do his wheelchair! Luckily, there are human beings in Californi and so his ride was "pimped." A great story--it is actually a documentary in the works now. I think the movie will be called "Darius Goes West." A great show.
