  Does anyone know of a source for the brass insert bushings for the shock absorber links. I have a 1930 four door. The Filling Station has a kit but no listing for the brass bushings. I've ordered the rubber bushings but need to replace some of the brass inserts. Trying to make the ride smoother. auto

There were about 12 or 15 new old stock brass bushings for sale on eBay last week. I think they sold for around $19 for all of them. :( :( :( :(

My shock catalog list the bushing size as 3/8"I.D.-13/16" long. The local ACe Hardware Store has a bushing assortment-bet theres a big hardware store in your area that carries them also. Can always be cut to the correct size.

Take one of the old ones to your local bearing supply house. They can match almost any bushing.
Bring the pin or bolt along to insure a good fit

Tried the bearing shop. They had the right ID but the OD was wrong. The bigger chain of home improvement centers do not carry anything comparable to what I need. Checked CarQuest, nothing. Will try NAPA. Ace may be the place .. As John Madden would say laugh laugh

It might just be easier to purchase the bushing kits from the Filling Station for $12.95 each, since they sell two rubber bushings, two brass bushings and two clevis pins per kit. laugh laugh laugh laugh

I believe you will find the bushings are bronze. Brass is to soft.
