There is a lot. I have two 62's both made in Tarrytown, one had ton's of it, the other very little. I guess it was up to the guy with the brush on that day. There is a ton of it on the firewall seams. What are you using to scrape it out with? A heat gun? Any chemicals? John

I am working on a 68 chevelle and the amount of seam sealer is shocking the qtr extn had so much in them I had to pry the extn off and the seam sealer made amost a full mold of the extn. I haven't even gotten to the firewall yet.

Where ever there is a welded seam in the body you will find seam sealer. The amount in a location depended on the person applying it.As the body came down the line there was a person that did nothing but brush it on.

To add to Gene's comment: The brush was attached to a pressure fed hose. The operator controlled the pressure on the hose. The more pressure the more sealer that was applied. It also depended on how fast the brush was moved across the seam. You could always tell the days that the operator was absent and an absentee replacement was on the job.

i couldnt belive it but were just using a scraper and screwdriver. i just resealed the windshield on my 1988 olds custom cruiser wagon and my son found a place that he dug out with a screwdriver and you could fit a golf ball in it. so i took some duraglass and put it over the hole and sanded it down.
